Spare parts fair

From December 11th to 22nd, TOYOTA GABON organized a spare parts fair.

During this major premiere, people could save up to 50% and take advantage of exceptional discounts on a wide selection of spare parts. The flow of people noted during that period is evidence of the operation's success.

TOYOTA GABON ends the year 2006 on a high note

Marketing of two new vehicles

In November, the new DAIHATSU's TERIOS enters Gabon's car market. With a styling resolutely distinct from its predecessor, compact, handsome and distinguished-looking, it was 'created to seduce'. Doubtless the Gabonese public will not remain indifferent to its beauty. Especially as its price, 14,900, 000 FCFA incl. VAT for the XL model, makes it the less expensive 4WD in the market.

More exquisite, the new Toyota's RAV4 keeps on defying the conventions and to exceed expectations. With its elaborate streamlined body as well as an intelligent synergy of the latest technologies, advanced performance and exceptional comfort, the RAV4 does well in all situations and affords you absolute driving enjoyment. We can already say that this third generation of Rav4 is a success.

TCM Certification

Based on a Toyota Customer Service Marketing (TSM) programme, measures to improve the after-sales activity were taken. Thus, Toyota Gabon was able to progressively reach the goals set by TMC and was rewarded for its certification in August 2006.

Oil rig in Nigeria

Following an expert mission in August 2005 at the request of Total Nigeria, SOGAFRIC SERVICES is now involved in the corrective maintenance of air-conditioning installations at the OML100-102 oil field.

This off-shore system is composed of two platforms, four satellites and one barge for storage and accommodation.

The major operation for 2007 concerns the substitution of air-conditioning units on one of the satellites. This specific work, since it is performed in an setting subject to explosive atmosphere constraints while keeping air condition going during the interventions, constitutes the first step towards the overhauling of all the satellites over 3 years.

BEAC from Ouesso to Congo

SOGAFRIC SERVICES is pursuing its activity in Congo in 2007 with the construction of the BEAC agency in Ouesso, for the Air-conditioning-Ventilation-Smoke ejection lot. This work concerning 5,000m2 includes a main 5-storey building, a vault, a villa and two security posts. The technologies used are identical to those used on the BEAC sites of Pointe Noire and Berberati, that is, direct-expansion cold rooms with a fib'air duct system , and split systems.

Note : the second component for the replacement of BEAC's installations in Brazzaville has been started, with the installation of a system for producing cold water which is to be relocated in the garden. The previous appliances used to be placed at the twelth floor and posed major maintenance difficulties.

Security Department

SOGAFRIC SERVICES' security department is responsible for a security study on the level of water for SEEG's water tower at Angondjé.

Management of telemonitoring

The security department is now equipped with infrared cameras with tracking function and possessing 180° angle of surveillance, a 400m-range and a day-night vision.

Each camera is fitted with a wifi system, making it possible to send data on a distance over 2 km in direct vision.

SOGAFRIC SERVICES is the only company in Libreville to be provided with this type of equipment which is the product of the latest technologies.

SEEG Franceville

As part of our new electrical power grid activity, Sogafric Services has been selected by the SEEG for carrying out high voltage works in the region of Franceville.

This testifies to the recognition of our company for this type of very specific works.
The work conists in kms of aerial networks in 20 Kv and  30 kV at the entry gate of Franceville in the district of EPILA, about 100 concrete bases and the laying of 28 km cables.

Deadline of reception is in 4 months.

Development of the shipbuilding activity

In 2007 and 2008, the beach of Owendo will be receiving important investments aimed at its modernization. The ultimate objective pursued is to turn it into a genuine shipbuilding yard.

The will of SOGI and the SOGAFRIC Group is to step up the shipbuilding activity and become a leader in the subregion in the contruction of punts, tow-boats, barges for activities related to the transportation of timber, gravel and petroleum products.
In addition to that, SOGI's shipbuilding industry segment also handles the renovation component which is also called careenage (renovation of metal, painting).

The most perfect display of SOGI's determination in developing this activity is the construction of the tow-boat whose launching ceremony took place on january 18th 2007. It has to be noted that another two tow-boats of different sizes have been ordered together with several punts and self-propelled barges.

SOGI seeks to become a reference in the construction of all types of ships ranging from the simple barge to the trawler.

Fair wind with this activity !!!

Plenty of news at GESPARC at the start of this new year 2007 !

Integration of the adaptable parts department

As we let you to know in our last Ensemble issue in June 2006, SODIM TP's activities pertaining to the department of spare parts, diesel injection, car electricity, car air-conditioning and body workshop have been incorporated into GESPARC since January 1st 2007.

This incorporation was prompted by the pursuit of an industrial goal  : establishing an independent, outgoing car pole encompassing the whole range of services offered to customers as a result of the integration of the Bosch Car Service in April 2006.

Contract with SEEG

GESPARC has just signed with the SEEG a contract for the maintenance of 480 vehicles and 150 motocycles. This contract, of a 3-year duration, will come into force as from February 1st 2007. Let's note that SEEG's car fleet is the largest in Gabon.

No doubt this contract will benefit Bosch Car Service !

Ongoing projects in 2007

Body workshop

As we have said above, SODIM TP's body workshop is now incorporated into GESPARC. Some accommodation works are being carried out to locate a body workshop into GESPARC premises. These works are to be completed by May.

GESPARC's Base in Port-Gentil

After the building's main façade was done up in the first half of the year 2006, GESPARC's Port-Gentil base will be undergoing important works aimed at accommodating a workshop and a stock of spare parts.

This investment is meant to meet a real expectation from Port-Gentil's market and will make it possible to develop both short-term and long-term car rental as well as the selling of new vehicles.
