BUSINESS MANAGER

General presentation

 

The SOGAFRIC Group deploys its commercial activity in very diversified sectors : automobiles, civil engineering and logging machinery, refrigeration and air conditioning, household appliances, office IT equipment, forestry …


Missions
 

(place in the hierarchical structure, main tasks, interdepartmental relations, responsibilities,…)

At a general level, is in charge of proposing the company's commercial policy, getting the guidelines thereof approved by the general management and implementing them by defining appropriate means for doing so. In this regard,

  • As a member of the executive committee, he/she takes part in the definition of the commercial policy once the market survey has been conducted and product sales volumes have been assessed, and in the drawing-up of his/her department's annual budget based on decisions made on the proposed guidelines
  • Ensures compliance with the commitments taken in respect to operating costs, commercial conditions, inventory management, defined volumes.
  • Leads his/team : conveys and explains approved objectives to salespersons, defines the geographical areas of activity of each one of them, analyses their individual performance, and assists the salespersons, as requested, in their sales activities
  • Organizes his/her service : defines and monitors the commercial secretariat's activity, validates client files drawn up by the salespersons as well as the amount of commissions, checks the allotment of incentive bonuses to salespersons and other staff.
  • Develops the commercial activity, analayses competitors' offers, relays communication operations, stages commercial events, develops complementary activities aimed at establishing customer loyalty (accessories, service contract, financing support…).

Is placed under the hierarchical authority of the company manager.


Profile
 

( Requested knowledge, expected skills, education, …)

Required qualifications : Higher education (A-level + 4 or 5 years).
Requested knowledge : Oral and written fluency in English, in-depth knowledge of management and bureautics.
Requested personal abilities : Management of a commercial team work, familiarity with the handling of numbers and statistics, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Requested behaviour : rigour, firmness, availability, courteousness and good presentation.
