Libreville, June 28 (www.infosplusgabon.com) - SOGAFRIC GROUP which gathers six companies and is managed by Romain BOUTONNET, shows a big dynamism on a market in decline, according to ENSEMBLE, the company magazine, in its June 2008 issue, whose front page is dedicated to sustainable development.

According to SOGAFRIC GROUP, the automobile market shows a 3% decline compared to the same period in 2007. However, SOGAFRIC consolidates its learding position with 56,4% of the total sales, that means a 6% increase of its market shares.

With MAN, ISUZU, RENAULT – DACIA, MAZDA and SSANGYONG, SODIM TP held a total of 21, 7% of the Gabonese automobile market at the end of April 2008.
The Group explains it by the increase in sales that has been constant with a 3 point average gain of market shares each year; which represents the highest growth rate among car dealers.

Generally speaking, new cars sales decreased from January to April 2008 as compared to 2007. Thus, 1, 715 vehicles were sold at the end of April 2007 compared to 1, 663 at the end of April 2008.

SOGAFRIC GROUP reports that Japanese cars largely dominate the Gabonese market with 78% of the sales, followed by European ones with 11, 2% as against 18% for the latter in 2007.

Then we have Korean cars that rise from 2, 1% to 5, 5% and American cars whose sales are estimated at 4, 8% this year compared to 2, 9% in 2007.
