At the end of 2007, our group celebrated its 50 years of existence.
History, as experienced …

From the FEA (French Equatorial Africa) to the Nation State, that means from the colonial times to democracy, we lived through all the events of this period: colonialism, independence, the one – party system, the collapse of the Berlin Wall, democracy, the devaluation of the CFA franc, the IMF structural adjustment programs, and so on. We shared all these great moments, asserting our determination to stay, aware of our socio-economic responsibility.

Technological trades and motivated men …

What an evolution!  From cold stores and soap manufacturing to nowadays… car market, civil engineering equipment, banking, insurance, metallurgical industry, construction’s technical trades, computing, our diversification strategy has been permanent. In some sectors, we expanded our competences in the sub-regional and international areas. Our men, the Sogafricans, believe in a job well done, in respect for the other, in the will to make headway. They only think about putting their talent and know-how at the clients’ service in order for our economic village to prosper. A shareholders’ philosophy engraved on marble.

Favor legal entity over their own individuals in order to preserve the Sogafrican village against all the odds. Have a long term strategic vision with an appropriate time management.

Our group looks ahead. We try with modesty and humility to foresee our future taking into account the changes taking place in the world in order to prepare the coming years. In our secret thoughts, we already know that new trades will come into existence in the near future, and that our geographical area will expand.

In fact, our group foresees the early signs of a real and long – lasting emergence of African countries, of great connections between Europe and Africa with several synergies, of the will of young Africans and all our Sogafricans to participate in this common destiny of development and peace. Following the traditions of the previous generations, our group is being built for the coming generations.
